An Alumni of the University of New Mexico School of Architecture and Planning graduate & undergraduate program. I have been awarded Tau Sigma Delta in the top 2% of my class, with honors and distinction.  I have also received various scholarships such as the Maureen Walter Endowed Memorial and the AIA Albuquerque Scholarship during my time in the Masters program. I have completed my Intern Development Program Requirements for NCARB as of 2012 and am looking forward to becoming a licensed Architect.

Born in Yuma, Arizona I grew up with a real sense of family as the middle child.  My parents who are still married today after 40+ years fostered a “never give up attitude” within our home.  My father was a visionary and my mother a realist set my spirit for exploration in the field of architecture.  Maya Lin has said “to create something you need to have existed in two different worlds.” My father enveloped the basic theory of construction & design. He provided the excitement of the unknown which helped me find innovative solutions in the creative process. My mother provided structure and boundaries within the design process. Understanding theses challenges up front helps to deliver those expectations to the client & the logic behind design.

I bring over 10 + years of experience from the field of construction & design.    I have worked with on call/ local architects, engineers, builders, & contractors.  I have worked on various types of jobs ranging from residential design to commercial education, healthcare, animal shelters, veterinary clinics, & equine facilities.

I was once reprimanded in a critique for being “too in tune with art rather than architecture,” Being expressive in design whether that be through landscape design, interior design, painting, drawing, photography, furniture design, or even cooking we should all feel so free to explore and develop on going creative solutions that better our lives.
